Riley cars at the 28th Scottish Transport Extravaganza Glamis 2002

13th and 14th July 2002
Presented by Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club
at Glamis Castle

The splendid Glamis Castle is the family home of the Earls of Strathmore, the childhood home of the late HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and birthplace of the late HRH The Princess Margaret.

Approximately 700 vehicles ranging from a 1868 boneshaker cycle to steam rollers were on display and most were paraded in the arena, also in the arena was a display by the Blue Arrows Motorcycle display team. Around the arena and grounds were about 250 stands of autojumble, motor trade, antiques and crafts. To keep the children amused there was a play area and plenty of food was available.

A visit to the Scottish Transport Extravaganza is highly recommended if you are in the area when it is on.
