The
splendid Glamis Castle is the family home of the Earls of Strathmore,
the childhood home of the late HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and
birthplace of the late HRH The Princess Margaret.
Approximately
700 vehicles ranging from a 1868 boneshaker cycle to steam rollers were
on display and most were paraded in the arena, also in the arena was a
display by the Blue Arrows Motorcycle display team. Around the arena and
grounds were about 250 stands of autojumble, motor trade, antiques and
crafts. To keep the children amused there was a play area and plenty of
food was available.
A visit to the Scottish Transport Extravaganza is highly recommended if you are in the area when it is on.
